Board of Trustees

The Ridgemont HOA Board exists to ensure the neighborhood’s long-term financial stability and to steward decisions that protect and enhance property values. Through level-headed governance, transparent budgeting, and proactive maintenance, we aim to keep Ridgemont a place people are proud to call home—and a community where demand, quality, and home prices continue to rise.

Our HOA board members are dedicated volunteers who play a crucial role in maintaining our neighborhood’s beauty, safety, and community standards. Below, you will find information about our current board members and their specific roles:

  • Bill Handy, President
  • Vital Aza, Trustee
  • Deb Dotson, Trustee

The President leads the board and the association, overseeing all HOA operations. They set the meeting agenda, ensure that board decisions are implemented, and represent the association in all legal and community matters. Their leadership is pivotal in maintaining our community’s orderly and efficient function.

The Trustees are the subdivision’s elected stewards. They administer and enforce the indentures; oversee common-area care and neighborhood services; manage budgets, assessments, and reserves; engage contractors; maintain records and insurance; and act on behalf of owners in routine legal and administrative matters.

Trustees serve three-year terms, with one seat elected each year to ensure continuity. The owners elect trustees in accordance with the indentures’ voting procedures. If a Trustee resigns or is otherwise unable to complete a term, the remaining Trustees appoint a qualified owner to fill the vacancy.

Members-at-Large

Members at Large serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Trustees by offering thoughtful input, independent judgment, and a diversity of perspectives that reflect the broader Ridgemont community. The intent of this role is not formal representation of a specific street, block, or group of residents, but rather to ensure that board discussions benefit from varied experiences, viewpoints, and ways of thinking.

Members at Large are encouraged to share their own observations, opinions, and questions as they arise. While individuals may choose to have informal conversations with neighbors, there is no expectation that they solicit feedback, advocate for particular interests, or serve as a conduit for communication. The role is intentionally flexible and designed to elevate the quality of discussion and decision-making through constructive participation.

The time commitment is modest—typically a few hours per month—and may include attending board meetings when possible or contributing to specific topics or short-term initiatives. This role is well-suited for residents who care about the neighborhood’s long-term health and sustainability and who are willing to engage thoughtfully, respectfully, and collaboratively without taking on formal officer responsibilities.
