Holiday Lights Along Carmen – Volunteers Needed
A heartfelt thank you to Deb, Ed, and Bill for their work decorating the entrances for the holidays. Last year, the wrapped trees along Carman Valley were a neighborhood favorite, but we were unable to complete them this year due to limited help. If we have enough volunteers, we would love to finish the lighting together this weekend.
We plan to meet this Sunday, December 14, from 1–3 p.m. at the Dietrich entrance, and your participation would make all the difference. If you are willing to lend a hand, please email [email protected].
Thank you in advance for supporting this effort. Together, we can make the season truly de-light-ful.
Winter Weather & Holiday Neighborly Tips
A timely reminder to keep our neighborhood safe, accessible, and cheerful throughout the season. A few helpful tips to keep things running smoothly:
Mindful Parking & Driving
Snow and ice can return quickly, even if they melt fast. Please park thoughtfully to keep streets clear for emergency vehicles, snowplows, and neighbors. Slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and help keep sidewalks and driveways safe to walk on.
Be Alert & Look Out for One Another
Ridgemont is a safe community, and we want to keep it that way. The holidays can bring increased deliveries and travel—remain attentive, report unusual activity, and be mindful of open garage doors (yours and your neighbor’s).
Share Emergency Contacts
Consider exchanging contact information with neighbors you trust or those new to the neighborhood (we have several this year). A quick connection can be invaluable during storms, power outages, or unexpected holiday hiccups.
Spread a Little Cheer
A small gesture goes a long way—helping with a package, checking on a neighbor after a storm, or sharing a treat or a warm greeting. These moments make our community shine.
By staying aware, helpful, and connected, we can make the winter season safe, warm, and enjoyable for everyone.

Happy Holidays, Ridgemont!
