Dear neighbors,
If you’ve driven through the neighborhood lately, you’ve probably spotted those bright, handmade “slow down” signs near our bus stops. A huge shoutout to Sharon Neer, Amy Dunn, Stephanie Tornga, and our younger neighbors for turning a great idea into an awesome safety project just as school kicked off.
Turning Ideas into Reality
Almost everything we do in Ridgemont starts with an idea from a resident. That has been true since day one for this Board.
Resident feedback sparked the common ground project, our indenture updates, expanded financial reporting, road safety efforts (like this month’s signs), and updating our entrance landscaping. Other great ideas, like cul-de-sac re-landscaping, a path to Love Park, and formalizing the Cool Dell pool path, are firmly on our radar. Many of these priorities were already on our minds last November, and your input helped us decide what to tackle first.
The Board’s job is to take these ideas and steward them responsibly, with careful budgeting and an eye toward keeping Ridgemont a place we are all proud to call home. While not every idea can happen at once, our Members at Large, Greenspace Committee, and resident volunteers are essential in helping us shape these concepts so we can move them forward when the time is right.
Learn More About What’s Ahead this Fall and Beyond – HOA Meetings
This fall and into next year, you’ll see meaningful work start to take shape. Two of these efforts are worth your attention, and we’d love to bring everyone together to walk you through where things stand. The common ground project has enough moving parts, and some special guests, to deserve its own evening, so we’ve set aside two dates rather than cramming everything into one HOA meeting:
- Thursday, October 1 (6:00–7:30 PM @ First Free Church): An in-person update on the common ground project. We will be joined by Missouri Botanical Garden, and other partners who have helped shape this project. Space may be limited, so please RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Please RSVP Here
- Tuesday, October 20 (6:00–7:30 PM via Zoom): A virtual meeting to look at the 2027 budget and dues, and further discussion about proposed indenture updates. Please RSVP Here
